Did you know that the world's surface is 72% water! In Canada we are blessed with oceans on three sides and a multitude of lakes, rivers, streams and even Niagara Falls (one of the World's Natural Wonders). So I thought it fitting that we be challenged by this amazing natural resource.
I challenge you to scrapbook about a body of water. Be creative. Be inspired by the water around you. In order to enter a design in this category it must:
1. Must feature a LAYOUT about a BODY OF WATER (lake, stream, ocean, pond, falls, pool, swamp, sea).
2. Must be created brand new for this crop (no recycling).
3. Must feature a word or two about the body of water and why it's worthy of making the grade on your design.
My design features a not-so-good photo of my daughter and her two BFF's at Port Elgin beach. While you can't see their faces you can tell who is who and the water just shines with the heat of the summer day. Every summer the girls head up there and enjoy each other's company.
I think the painted swaths and the clouds
with the sweet banner immortalized their youthful spirit and the feeling that carefree summer feeling.
I used We R Memory Keepers StoryBook line here with some cork letters to imitate the sandy beach. The final touches were the the sparkly sequins to imitate the sparkle on the water.
Stop by the TSF blog and check out all the requirements and thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll find time to play along!
Until next time keep doing what you love to do.
Such a fun layout Christa! I love all the fun details, especially the painting and "sandy" cork letters!
